1) Baitul Mukarram Mosque is the National Mosque of Bangladesh. It was built by Ahmed Bawani after the partition. It can accommodate 30,000 worshippers. It is situated in the heart of the city, walking distance from Hotel Pacific.
2) Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (Parliament House) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar has distinctive architecture features. It may be called an Architectural Wonder of the world. It is an atomic molecule proof.
3) Bejoy Fuara is a monument of Independence Day. Bejoy means Independence & Fuara means fountain in English. Therefore, this Fuara is known as Independence Fountain. It contains the glory of Bangladeshi. It is situated near the National Parliament of Bangladesh. At night the shade of the fountain color bound to take your breathes away for a moment or two.
4) Twenty first February of every year is observed throughout the country to pay respect and homage to the sacred souls of the martyrs of Language Movement of 1952. Blood was shed on this day at the Central Shahid Minar (Near Dhaka Medical College Hospital) area to establish Bangla as a state language of the then Pakistan.
5) Rangamati is a favourite holiday resort because of its beautiful landscape, scenic beauty, lake, colourful tribes (Chakma, Marma, etc) its flora and fauna, tribal museum, hanging bridge, homespun textile products, ivory jewellery and the tribal men and women who fashion them. It is all heart throbing experiences. Definately, the Rangamati is an worth to pay your visit.
6) Located near Khulna about 320 km. south of Dhaka. Here in the south, spread over an area of about 6000 sq. km. of deltaic swamps along the coastal belt of Khulna is the biggest mangrove forest, Sundarbans (beautiful forest) the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. One finds here tides flowing in two directions in the same creek and often tigers swimming across a river or huge crocodiles basking in the sun.
7) Cox`s Bazar is the tourist capital of Bangladesh. Having the world longest unbroken (120 Km.) beach sloping gently down to the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal against the picturesque background of a chin of hills covered with deep green forest, Cox`s Bazar is one of the most attractive tourist spots in the world. It is just more than a beach.
8) If you love nature and green land then you will love Sylhet. It is located south-west of Bangladesh. Sylhet is the widely hilly district in the country. Its terraced tea gardens, eye catching orange groves and pineapples plantations and hills covered with tropical forests form a beautiful landscape. Once you visit, you will not regret.
